Donate to MESS

MESS is an artist-led, not-for-profit organisation and every dollar we raise via donations goes straight back into keeping MESS running as an incredible resource for everyone to use and increasing programs and opportunities for artists and the community.

Help us realise our vision of making the history of electronic sound accessible to everyone. All donations over $2 are tax deductible and as a MESS donor, you’ll be keeping the electronic sound story unfolding for Australia and the rest of the world for years to come.

Make a donation

There are many ways you can donate to MESS

1. Direct Bank Transfer

Name: MESS Public Fund
BSB: 633000
Account: 156047565
Correspondent Bank: Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Limited
SWIFT/IBAN Code: BENDAU3B

Doing this within Australia means MESS receives your full donation without charges. Once you have made a direct deposit, email us and we’ll give you a receipt you can use to claim your tax deduction. International donors may incur transfer fees which can be high, so option two might be better for you.

2. Credit Card or PayPal

Donations using this service incur a 2.5% fee before the donation arrives with us. A tax receipt will be generated automatically for you.

3. Instrument Donations

Some people might not be able to donate money, but would like to give an instrument or some gear to MESS. If you’d like to make this type of contribution, it’s best that you email us!

You might look at our extensive collection and think we’re a well-endowed organisation, but nothing could be further from the truth!

All of the machines that make up our collection are loaned to us by the private individuals that own them. Our collection is really a meta-collection!

People who want to support our project, but can’t make full use of a membership often become donors. Our door is always open to our donors, and you can feel free to drop by MESS when you can, to have a coffee with us and get an update on how your support has made a difference. Every amount counts and goes directly back into the organisation, allowing us to grow, improve and continue building MESS as an incredible resource for everyone to use for years to come.

All donations over $2 are tax deductible and we can’t tell you how much each donation is appreciated.
