e fishpool (she/they) is a Yuin artist based across Budawang, Ngunawal/Ngunnawal and Ngambri Countrys. Emily speaks processes of unlearning and (re) learning identity through sampling noise, dialect and field recordings – Seeking to understand diasporic identity, resurgence and healing through sound. She experiments mainly in creating pictures/telling stories through sound. Key to the work is the attempt to map the vast expanses of learning and forming cultural identity through place – and distance from place.
