The first of BOSS’ successful Dr. Rhythm series, the DR-55 was released in 1980 and was amongst the first step programmable drum machines released. Features storage up of to six 16-step patterns, and two 12-step patterns. Programming the DR-55 is simple and efficient, only Kick, Snare, Rim Shot and Accent can be placed in a pattern in step mode, the Hi-Hats can only be programmed as either Off, 8ths, 12ths or 16ths via the Hi-Hat switch.
