Mobile MESS at Convent Kids – Getting Started Workshop

Cost: $16.50 per child. Parent/guardian attends free of charge.

Mobile MESS arrives at Abbotsford Convent! Experience the magic of electronic sound creation in this fun hands-on workshop with MESS (Melbourne Electronic Sound Studio).

This workshop is suitable for: Young people aged 8-12 years and their parent/guardian new to creating electronic sounds. No prior musical experience is needed to take part in this workshop.

This workshop will investigate the scientific nature of sound and how we use electricity to create music. Through hands-on activities and interactive experiments using synthesisers, you can create wild sounds and make beats across various machines and devices. 

All materials are provided, but participants are welcome to bring headphones if they would like to.

Please note a parent or legal guardian must be present with their young person for the duration of the 1-hour workshop.
