The EDP Wasp was a quirky little synthesizer that, despite its toyish look, was quite capable of funky analog types of sounds. Under the hood the Wasp was a real surprise! It was actually a very early DIGITAL synth that also happens to sound great! With ANALOGUE filters, envelopes and controls, the Wasp offered flexible and traditional synthesis of cool bass, synth, and other useful monophonic sounds.

The Pixie Attache is a revisit of the WASP that keeps its salient features but replaces the keyboard circuitry with a MIDI interface, giving the user access to a wide range of MIDI controllers.

To help improve the stability of the design, the two 555-based VCOs and associated decoding circuitry have been replaced with a dual-digital oscillator built on the 1990s Mitsubishi M16C processor chip.

The Pixie expands the original WASP by adding the following extra functions:
Additional waveshapes on both DCO’s (Triangle, Sine and Modulated Square)
2nd WASP Filter
Low-Pass Filter
Ring Modulator
4-channel pre-FilterMixer
4-channel pre-Output Mixer

All synths have secrets. But in this instance, this synth is a secret. Hidden away, housed in a nondescript, unassuming aluminium suitcase. A synthesist's equivalent to a chef's secret spice box. Based loosely after a famous, buzzing, black and yellow synthesizer but with some re-purposed Mitsubishi digital oscillators, this machine lays its secret sounds right on its surface. Sprinkle a touch of this gnarly, lofi flavour to make your dish pop. Add a dash of delay, a generous douse of reverb, and your friends will be remarking for months about that incredible taste you brought to that dinner party.
