The Pro 2 is Dave Smith’s flagship mono synth, “ my most powerful mono synth ever.” Featuring hybrid digital/analog architecture – the audio amplifier, as well as the filters and final output stages, are analog, while oscillators, LFOs, modulation matrix and other parameters are digital. It shares the same exceptional ergonomics and playability as the Prophet 12. It has a sub oscillator, powerful step sequencer, a semi-weighted, velocity and pressure sensitive 44-note keyboard. For further control, it also has dual pressure and position-sensitive ribbon controllers and comes with the standard pitch-bend and mod wheels. Sequence tracks can control any parameter in the Pro 2’s extensive modulation matrix, and it plays well with modular synths too with a rear panel of cv in, cv out, and gate out.
