Released around 1984 this cassette recorder fromRealistic (Radio Shack’s in house brand) was a top of the line consumer item. It is a variable speed tape recorder which could record at speeds, measured in words per second, from a slow -14 to a super fast 100 wps. Primarily used for dictation, transcription and note taking the speed variation made it a great protabler and affordable tool for electronic sound experiments.
