South West MESS Private Studio Session

Spend an afternoon in the South West MESS Studio. Just like our studio sessions in Melbourne, this is a chance for individuals or collaborators to book studio time for noodling, playing and recording on the gear we’re bringing to South West MESS.

Instruments on offer include the Buchla Music Easel, EMS Synthi AKS, ARP Odyssey MKIII, Korg MS20, ARP 2600, Roland TR808, Roland Juno 106… and much, much more!

This is a small group session so places are limited to 6 bookings. A booking is essential to ensure you get a spot.

What to expect: This is a shared studio session, meaning other bookings will also be using the space at the same time so everyone will be working on headphones. The session will be ‘Lucky Dip’ style where participants will have the opportunity to use all the instruments in the studio, first come first served. Our MESS team will be on hand to assist with setting up gear, troubleshooting and facilitating the session.

To capture sounds made during the session, you are encouraged to bring your favourite pair of headphones or your own recording gear (laptop + soundcard, handheld recorder or other devices) if you already own something. We will also be bringing loads of good-quality headphones and an abundance of other cables (audio, data, MIDI, and so on) that you are free to use during the session.

If you won’t be recording, it’s also completely ok to come along empty-handed with just yourself and a desire to explore the collection and have some fun!

Want to bring a collaborator? Great! Each booking is permitted to bring one guest to your session. Please note, bringing a collaborator or guest means you do need to work together at the same instrument/s for the duration of the session. This is not a 2-for-1 session.

Note: Sales are final and cancellations will not be eligible for refunds. We are unable to reschedule bookings. Refunds will not be offered to no-shows.
