Synth Start

A 6-week short course designed for beginner-level participants who are relatively new to synthesis and music production, including those with little to no experience with hardware synthesisers. If you’ve ever considered exploring the wonderful world of electronic sound creation, this course is perfect for you to jumpstart your creative process.

Foundations in Electronic Sound Production

A 12-week course designed to develop your skills across all facets of electronic sound production – from a deeper understanding of complex forms of synthesis to exploring and gaining hands-on experience with the tools to create and shape your work.

Professional Development

A wide-ranging program designed for electronic sound and music artists looking to move their practice into a profession. Each week, experienced people share their practical skills and knowledge to provide the inspiration and confidence that comes with understanding.

Game Audio Intensive

Are you a practising Australian composer or sound designer looking to dive into the world of game audio? Immerse yourself in interactive creation, learn game audio workflow and tools, and engage with industry professionals in MESS’s Game Audio Intensive.
