MESS is thrilled to present the legendary Eiko Ishibashi, with supports from Ai Yamamoto / Dan West and Mads Davey at Miscellania.

Eiko Ishibashi

Eiko Ishibashi is a Japanese artist renowned for her film scores and multi-instrumentalist approach to song form. Her work has ranged from acclaimed singer-songwriter albums to scores for film and television to improvised music settings. Her improvised electronic sets draw on the breadth of her extraordinary output. We are looking forward to hearing her latest offerings.

Supporting Eiko are Ai Yamamoto / Dan West - an eclectic electronic duo born of the lockdowns. Together, their audio visual performances are full of playful melodies, abstracted rhythms and textural sounds created from analogue synthesisers and real time processing of field recordings, piano, strings and guitar.

The ever incredible Mads Davey is a composer, instrumentalist, and vocalist with a focus on analogue synthesis. In her work, Mads explores a widened centre of pitch and dissonant tunings. Mads fronts experimental electro/rock trio Warplane. For this show she will perform a hybrid set of solo and Warplane material, accompanied by guitarist Jack Monte.
