How do studio sessions work?

1

Become a MESS member or purchase a Single Session or Starter Pass from our store.
2

Book your session

Make a booking through our booking system. Here you'll be able to chose a primary machine you'd like to work with during your session. If you would like to use more than one machine, note any additional gear you'd like to use in the 'Comments' section of the booking form.
3

What to bring

We’ve got you covered! We have everything you need including headphones, interfaces, adaptors and cables. You're also welcome to bring your own.

Bring along your laptop if you’d like to record, or choose to simply play our extensive collection of electronic instruments.

4

When you arrive

A studio supervisor will set you up with your chosen instrument(s) and be there to support you throughout the session. If you have any questions, would like to try a different instrument, or add anything to your chain, they can help with that too.
5

During the session

There will most likely be other people working in the studio, just like you. Everyone will be wearing headphones so as not to disturb each other. During the session you can record the sounds you make, or simply explore. Both approaches are encouraged.
6

Ending your session

At the end of your session you can leave the equipment used on the bench, and we'll pack it away for you. See you in the studio soon!
