Description
We are hosting online Track Feedback sessions for MESS members over Zoom. These online sessions are a chance for you to share your sounds and recordings and open up a conversation with other MESS Members. Use this session to share your work, or to get some general feedback or help with aspects of your set up or creative process.
Each session will run for up to two hours, and feature 5-6 artists (around 20min of sharing + discussion per per person), and a willing and attentive audience made up of supportive MESS Members.
Once you register your interest, we’ll let you know if you’ll be sharing your work, and send you a guide to set up your Zoom to best share your sounds.
All attendees will be sent a zoom link the day before the session. We can’t wait to hear your sounds and ideas!
Online Track Feedback Sessions will be facilitated by Sooji Kim.
Sooji Kim is a Melbourne-based instrumentalist and composer. Classically trained in violin, Sooji’s explorations of improvisation and experimental music are informed by an attention to the nuances of timbre, tone, and micro tunings. Her current practice is positioned at the nexus of acoustic instruments and electronic synthesisers, driving formal innovation through controlled experimentation. This work explores the metaphor of the ‘inner’ and ‘outer’ world by deploying the ‘acoustic’ and ‘synthetic’ to achieve new aural syntheses.
